Crossover-country vocalist-turned-actress LeAnn Rimes and her dancer-turned-songwriter hubby, Dean Sheremet, have packed their bags and put the couple’s newly constructed, 2.5-story home just outside Nashville on the recession-plagued market, according to media reports and the couple’s listing agent.
With a current price tag of $7,450,000, the 13,380 square-foot home offers its next owner a custom home that has no shortage of space or views. More specifically, aside from having roomy kitchens on both its first and second floors, also boasts covered parking for four vehicles, three half-baths and six full baths, as well as six spacious bedrooms in addition to a family room, media room, workout room, dining area and a basement that’s more than 3,500 square feet, among other living spaces.

According to a May 18, 2009, report in People magazine, "LeAnn and Dean decided to put their home on the market because she's been spending more time in L.A. (where the couple also have a home) and New York," says an unnamed friend. "(LeAnn’s) been receiving more offers in the film, TV and theater worlds, so they want to have a footprint in all three cities."
Most recently, Rimes co-starred in the Lifetime TV-movie based on author Norah Jones’ Northern Lights title. Just before the movie made its TV debut, reports—and supporting video—surfaced that Rimes, 26, and her also-married leading man, actor Eddie Cibrian, 35—had a fling.
Although Cibrian, who's married to model Brandi Glanville, 36, denied the allegations, the Grammy-winning Rimes didn’t go quite so far. Instead, during a national promo junkets to support Northern Lights, Rimes—when questioned about the affair rumors—reported that life isn’t always "black and white" and that her hubby of seven years is an amazing and wonderful man.

The same Rimes pal who told People why the couple’s put the home on the market reportedly also insisted that their decision to move away from Nashville was not, and is not, related to the affair rumors. The pair, says the friend, remains dedicated to working through their rough patch (whatever its impetus may be).
"(LeAnn and Dean) are still having challenges and trying to work through them," confirms the friend. "They're working on their marriage."
Nevertheless, the affair yammering isn't the lone thorn in the side of the celebrity couple, thanks to rumors about Sheremet's sexuality. And the fact that Rimes encountered co-star Cibrian at a Lakers game on Sunday, May 17, where the two chatted. didn't help quell the gossip-mongering, either.
However, fans of the celebrity couple may find comfort knowing that, per the same pal who interviewed with People, the recent courtside Rimes/Cibrian encounter "was totally random," says the friend. "They both just happened to be at the game."
All gossip and speculation aside, this scribe wishes LeAnn and Dean all the best when it comes to unloading that palatial home in the current economy and on making their marriage work. Here's to the next seven years, you two.
