Multi-platinum country singer-songwriter Jo Dee Messina will perform a special holiday concert Saturday, Dec. 5, in Nashville, along with members of the Brentwood United Methodist Church's youth choir, at the area church.
According to organizer's reports, all proceeds from the event will benefit the Harvest Hands Community Development Corporation, a nonprofit, faith-based organization in South Nashville.
"Harvest Hands is truly an amazing organization,” says Messina, who played a tribute to two fallen soldiers Nov. 6. “It is currently taking the inner city of Nashville and is changing it one life at a time with educating, kindness and love. To go down and actually see how they are making a difference, has touched me. This show is for them."
For the special holiday concert, which will be performed 7-9 p.m. and streamed live at www.jodeemessina.com/harvesthands--the Tim McGraw-discovered songstress will perform a wide array of songs from her 2002 Christmas album titled A Joyful Noise, as well as other holiday classics and music from her next album, Unmistakable, including the upcoming single “That’s God.”
Tickets to the show will be distributed in advance for free--including on Messina's Web site, at the Brentwood-based church and at Harvest Hands in downtown Nashville--with fans being asked to make a donation at the event.
