In relation to yesterday's article about healthy, organic eating, today, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. novices and gurus alike, can check out some healthy fun at Port Warwick Mid Week Farmer's Market!
The day is to be sunny and crisp, with a high of 59 degrees...what a great way to spend part of it!
Seasonal Produce, Cheeses, Baked Goods, Pasture-grazed Poultry, Seafood, Baked items......this is merely a partial list of what the Farmer's Market has to offer.
Hand-crafted items, including but not limited to health and beauty products, handbags and pottery, glassware, photography and woodcrafts, have been added to the Market. The items offered give a great opportunity to shop for Christmas and other Holiday gifts and are created by local artisans.
And for a super plus, local chefs demonstrate their skills using meats from the market!
The location is Styron Square at Loftis Blvd. (off Jefferson), and Nat Turner Boulevard in Newport News.
This weekly event is sponsored by the Port Warwick Merchant's Association (website under construction). More information may be found by calling 757-771-9343.
Let's feed our grandchildren well...and have lots of fun in the process!
