A few weeks ago city council 2nd district representative Nick D'Adamo announced that in 2011 he will not be running for re-election. Citizens should rejoice whenever Baltimore can get rid of one of its longtime councilmen who has presided over the city's massive decline. I have been meaning to post about this for weeks but the topic keeps slipping my mind. Let's hope that a new energetic voice can emerge in the 2nd district and that a preordained lackey is not forced down our throats by one of the political machines that influence this city and contribute to its disgraceful state.
