Former mayoral candidate Keiffer Mitchell has repeatedly told people that he has no interest in running for public office.   Keiffer Mitchell's Twitter page gives me a different impression about what he is planning to do with his future. Almost every one of his posts is about local politics. Here are some interesting tweets of his:

"CityStat should be to help plot where crimes are occurring, stat. analysis, etc. Then, we can deploy police based on analysis."

"Once again, CC Prez Rawlings-Blake and Councilman Cole have it exactly right. Great public servants!"

"$175k would have gone far at troubled schools like Thurgood Marshall or Frederick Douglass."

"Brian Morris is a good guy, but I don't see logic in BCPSS's move in a fiscal responsibility sense. What msg does this send to teachers?"

"I have no problem with take home cars. I do have a problem with abuse of those cars when the City has to pick up the tab."

"Kudos to Cnclmn Cole and Prez Rawlings-Blake for speaking out against City take-home car abuse."

"I want for families to be able to walk around Balt. without the fear of assault. I dont think that violence in Balt. is inevitable."

"If people can't feel safe downtown with all the hustle and bustle, where are they supposed to feel safe?"

Looks to me like he is preparing to run for public office in the near future. The 2010 election for House of Delegates and State Senate is quickly approaching.  Maybe he is just getting ready for Square Off in Septemeber? :)
