The Sun reports that the Baltimore City Council voted to alter some of Baltimore's live entertainment rules. If the mayor approves of the bill then some bars and restaurants that were not allowed to have live entertainment before will be able to in the near future.
Some residents of neighborhoods with bars in them are not happy about this development. I think it is a good move by the city. Bars are already very loud so live music really is not going increase the noise pollution that much. Irresponsible establishment owners will be punished if their establishments get out of hand. These new rules will have a positive economic impact on Baltimore and hopefully lead to the extension of drinking hours in non-residential neighborhoods.
