Most state workers in Utah are shifting to a four-day work week.  If Utah can try it why can't Maryland?

State workers are notoriously lazy and unproductive so why have them clog the roads an extra day of the week?  In theory the extra day off could be given instead of a raise (saving the state money).  The worker will end up happier and might be a little more productive.

I think it would be interesting to implement a four-day school week for high school students.  Schools would save millions of dollars by having Fridays off.  Even if a small percentage of students decided to get part-time jobs on Fridays the productivity level of society would increase.

Maybe I just have Friday on my mind?
