Why Maryland's Democratic Leadership had their election party at Bourbon Street

November 5, 2:14 PM

A few people were wondering why local Democrats had their victory party at "Bourbon Street" yesterday.  The building that houses Bourbon Street is owned by RWN Guilford Avenue LLC. That LLC is controlled by developer Richard Naing according to Van Smith of the City Paper.   RWN wants to build a skyscraper at the location one day.  You need to be politically connected if you want to build a random skyscraper on Guilford Avenue. Maybe they can amend the constitution when they build it and place a casino there?
