Versus airs FLW Stren Series West from Clearlake CA

FLW Outdoors is the most widely distributed outdoor sports television show in the world.
FLW Outdoors, the most widely distributed weekly outdoor sports television show in the world is broadcasting seven events from the Forrest Wood Cup, Walmart Walleye Tour, Walmart FLW Series, National Guard FLW College Fishing Division, and the Stren Series Championship.
Northern California’s own Clear Lake event from October 21 – 24, 2009, makes national coverage. Walmart FLW Series from Kelseyville, CA at Clear Lake is the only event being featured on Versus from the west. As many of the Clear Lake Tournaments, the Stren launched out of Konocti Harbor Resort and Spa, with a field of 88 pro’s and 88 co-anglers each looking to catch their share of the hundreds of thousands of dollars being given away.
Most participants were local Californians. Stockton’s own Gary Howell placed 9th and took home over $12,000 for his four day total catch of 75-08 lbs. This was exactly 22 lbs behind first place winner Clifford Pirch from Arizona. Pirch racked up over $80,000 for his win, in addition to a Ranger Boat Bonus of $25,000.
Other local Northern Californians of note included, Justin Lucas a local pro from Folsom, who recently escorted NBC’s Today Show co-anchor, Jenna Wolfe fishing on the San Joaquin Delta. Lucas finished out of the money in the 20th spot.
Ish Monroe another local out of Hughson, that swept the Stren event on the California Delta earlier in the year placed 51st with a three day total of 44-12 lbs. Local Delta guide Bobby Barrack from Oakley had finished with ranking him 75th overall. The complete professional and co-angler results from the Clear Lake event are available.
The Northern California event will air to 75 million US Versus Country subscribers in HD on Sunday, November 22 at 12:30 Eastern Time. Other FLW events can be viewed every Sunday at 12:30 Eastern during the months of November and December. A full event schedule slated for broadcast on Versus can be found at the FLW Outdoor website.
