Jack-o-Lanterns to be - pumpkins ready for the carving.

It was a dark and stormy night...

Looking for a hauntingly good time this Halloween? The spirits seem more than willing this year with spooky attractions of all types lurking everywhere. If you're still looking for something to occupy your time on Saturday night, check out any of these creepy crawlers, but beware, some of them are pretty scary.

Bennett's Curse Haunted Attraction - Featuring unique special effects and attractions and a story that takes visitors from Castle Bennet and on through the House of Vampyres and finally the Sanctuary of Insanity and the Dominion of Darkness, Bennett's Curse is a long-time favorite for fright seekers. Located in Hanover, tickets are $20 for all attractions, and $30 for a no-waiting Speed Pass.

CreepyWoods Haunted Forest - Conceived by the demented folks behind Bennet's Curse, CreepyWoods takes visitors on a walk through a dark and haunted trail with chills and thrills at every turn. The CreepyWoods are in Bradshaw and admission is $15 for General and $25 for a Speed Pass.

Jason's Woods - Take a trip up to Lancaster, Pennsylvania for the Legenday Jason's Woods. For nearly a quarter of a century, this hair-raising attraction has frightened the wits out of visitors. Admission is $25 for regular and $40 VIP.

Cox's Point - Maryland's oldest Halloween attraction is still going strong. Located in Essex on a very creepy location, it's sure to get a scream, or two, out of everyone. Tickets are only $8 for adults and $4 for 10 and under.

Kim's Krypt - Over in Dundalk, it gets really creepy this time of year thanks to Kim's Krypt. It's not just a haunted house, it's an adventure. Tickets are $12 for adults and $7 for 11 and under.

Bedlam in the 'Boro - How about an old fashioned Haunted Hayride? Or a serious House of Horror? There's even the Bedlam Bypass for the not-so-brave of heart. A combo ticket for the hayride and House of Horrors is $10 for children and $15 for adults. Sponsored by the Lineboro Volunteer Fire Department.

If you still haven't found your favorite flavor of fright, head to Haunted Houses for a listing of both haunted house attractions, and real haunted houses, ghost towns and more. Or Haunt World for more haunted Halloween horror than you can imagine.

Have an event coming up on the North side of town? Know of some cool, can't miss attraction? Shoot an email over to Rochellekarina@gmail.com and tell me all about it!
