Is the pursuit of both wealth and happiness a doomed quest? Fortunately, the answer is 'no.'

This is one of the main themes of the excellent new book by David M. Krueger, M.D., The Secret Language of Money. He believes that we complicate our relationship to money by what we tell ourselves about it. Each of us has our own money story and we keep telling ourselves the same story. If we can recognize our money story, we can decide if it's the story we want to be living; if it's not, Dr. Krueger can help us write a new one.

In the first section of the book, Dr. Krueger helps the reader understand what money means to them and recognize their money story. For example, for some people, money means freedom, for others captivity; for some it means love, or happiness or power. Through several simple exercises, the reader gains insight into their secret language of money. In chapter five, there is a money story quiz that guides the reader to hep understand their past experiences with money and how those past money experiences influence their overall life experience.

I highly recommend Dr. Krueger's book and we'll dig into the other two sections of his book next time. You can purchase The Secret Language of Money at Amazon.com and Barnes & Noble.com . It's well worth it. Be sure to check out Dr. Krueger's website, MentorPath,  to learn more about Dr. Krueger and his executive coaching practice.
