The Guild has become a serious contender in the comedy world.
There is a smash-hit web series that's been causing quite a stir lately, and that series is "The Guild", created by Felicia Day, which has evolved over three seasons to a serious contender in the comedy world.
The first few episodes of the first season of The Guild can be a little awkward and overwhelming, as the viewer is thrown chest-deep in the world of a guild. After a couple episodes however, the characters have established themselves, and your following the show pretty good.
Felicia Day's (Codex) excellent writing abilities along with the main cast of Sandeep Parikh (Zaboo), Jeff Lewis (Vork), Amy Okuda (Tinkerballa), Vincent Caso (Bladezz), and Robin Thorsen (Clara) makes for some great awkward moments and good laughs. The characters develop and grow over the second season, and the finale of Season 2 rivals most movies and television sitcoms I've seen. Especially the final scenes, but I won't ruin them for you here.
Season 3 is in progress currently and they just released Episode 8, "+10 to Bravery". This season promises to be even better than season 2, what with the Knights of the Good (The Guild) facing off against the Axis of Anarchy (The Guild's rival). The Axis of Anarchy has a guest star leading them, but I'll leave who that is up to you.
All in all, this is a very strong series that is making a name for itself. Great acting, excellent storylines, and Zaboo make this an outstanding series worth checking out.
