Ranking Member of the House Ways and Means Committee Dave Camp(R) released information yesterday confirming a failure to comply with the purchase of adequate health care coverage will result in jail time.

Not only has this administration located a constitutional mandate permitting them the authority to force free people to acquire a product they may not desire, but they are threatening anyone who does not buy their brew with incarceration. Very happy with your private plan? You will find ours to beyond expectations. Guaranteed.

Criminal penalties

Prosecution is authorized under the Code for a variety of offenses.  Depending on theAP level of the noncompliance, the following penalties could apply to an individual:

• Section 7203 – misdemeanor willful failure to pay is punishable by a fine of up to $25,000 and/or imprisonment of up to one year.

• Section 7201 – felony willful evasion is         punishable by a fine of up to $250,000 and/or imprisonment of up to five years.” [page 3]         AP

Annual coverage cost for a family is about $15,000 yet not everyone can afford such a premium. Consider the mindset of the dem ranking leaders and ask what kind of person is Pelosi to sponsor such a bill?
