October 31
st is not just Halloween for the people of Seattle; it is also the birth date of the famous Freemont Troll. This year will be the 20
th annual Haunt of Fremont celebration, also known as Trolloween. It will start at 7pm, at N 36
th and Troll Ave. N, with a parade of as many as 400 performers. Once the parade reaches the Freemont Bridge, The Cabiri will be giving an aerial performance of Dante’s Inferno.
The Cabiri is a local group of aerial and physical theater performers. The group was formed in 1999 as part of the Anunnaki Project. They have since expanded in their effort to preserve unique culture and mythology. Today their performances include physical theater, dance, aerial arts, fire performance, as well as intricate costumes and body paint, making every performance a mystical adventure.
An after party at OmCulture (2210 N. Pacific St) will follow the parade and the show. The party will include live music, dancing, and a costume party. Happy Trolloween!
