Are you wondering what to do on a Sunday? Why not go on a drive to the scenic red rock county of Sedona?
November 15th is Mitzvah (Good Deed) Day 2009. It will be their 3rd annual day of community service where the community brings together over 300 volunteers to work on more than 25 projects. The projects vary widely from indoors to outdoors in Sedona, Village of Oak Creek and Cottonwood. And, includes such things as cleaning up public gardens, sewing and stuffing Sojourn Bears and Feelie Hearts for cancer patients and trauma victims, organizing shelves atSedona Food Bank and caring for animals at the Humane Society.
Volunteers will gather at St. John Vianney, 180 Soldier's Pass Road at 12:30 PM on November 15th to sign in for projects. Refreshements and T-shirts (while they last) will be provided.
