If you need some bloggy-love for your blog (as it’s called in the blogging world), you are going to want to submit your link to as many places as possible.

Try some of these suggestions as a starting point, and add your links to others as you find them.

Social Networking sites

Just about every social networking site has a group or forum relating to blogs where you can add your blog links. A few of them are listed here:

For the ladies:

Mom Bloggers Club Friends Following Friends

TwitterMoms Group: Mommy Bloggers

Mom Bloggers and TwitterMoms both have ongoing lists of member’s blogs. Add yours today.

For the guys

Dad Blogs

Alltop Top Dads news

Others….

Ontoplist.com

Blog catalog

Pingoat- submit your sites to many places at once

Social voting sites

With social voting sites, members submit links to web pages that they find interesting. These are categorized by subject matter using keywords called “tags.” Members can choose a topic, view pages submitted that relate to the topic, and vote and comment on them.

Members discover interesting web pages that related to their personal and business interests. They also can connect with people around the world that share common interests.

Some of the top social voting sites are:

Digg.com

Stumble.com

Reddit

Memes

According to wikipedia, a the term "Internet meme" refers to a catchphrase or concept that spreads rapidly from person to person via the internet.

A good example of a meme is Wordless Wednesday, where bloggers posts pictures only on Wednesdays.

The initiator gets a ton of links (all participants link back to the person who started the Meme) and participants can often leave their link on Mr. Linky or some other link capturing widget. Bloggers visit one anothers blogs and leave comments.

Memes are a fun way to get exposure for your blog. A site I like is The Daily Meme. This site has a list of daily meme’s for one to try. Check it out and see if one interests you.

The main thing to remember whether you use one of all of these methods is that you need to give bloggy-love to get bloggy love. So be a good friend, visit some blogs and leave comments, and watch the love rain down on your blog!

Sidenote: I know many of you may been waiting for me to post about google adwords and adsense as a way to make money with your blog. I must admit I don’t know much about using adwords or adsense. I am waiting to hear from a blogging friend who uses them and am hoping do an interview with her. I’ll keep you posted.
