Lil Jon Takes Crunk Sugar Free

I love Crunk!!! energy drink - From the ridiculous name, to the fact that it is brought to us by Lil Jon ( WHAT? WHAT? YEAH! YEAH!) to the informative on target website, to the packed nutrients found inside, this can has much going for it.
I like the fact that the drink has a non-caloried version which lacks the High Fructose Corn Syrup that I am trying to stay away from. Instead, it is flavored with sucralose, which enhances the pomegranate flavor in the drink without adding the tartness found in other sweeteners. There is much to celebrate with this can of hip hop goodness.

200 mgs of caffeine ain't bad - and does he trick as a nice morning pick me up. Also packed with the usual energy drink B blend, but also has a ton of cool nutrients- designed to make you horny ( which it doesn't) and healthy ( which I guess it might - if taken daily as a supplement).  They pack this with horny goat weed, ginko biloba, Green Tea Leaf, Licorice root, and about a dozen things I can only find in my Whole Foods store. My favorite ingredient is still the Ashwagandha, which according to wikipedia, means “horse’s smell” in Sanskrit, probably originating from the odor of its root which resembles that of sweaty horse.

Actually, very very good! not sweet, and sour enough to get your pucker on. The pomegranate flavor is very strong, and has a great aftertaste which does not linger very long. You can taste the licorice and the green tea in it too.  This is more a healthy nutrition sports drink than one that you would expect from from a hip hop artist. Well done Lil John and Company - this is one I will come back to as a new staple in my cooler.

plain silver/white usual can fare. Nothing to write home about, but no missteps either  You get the idea that this is a diet version of the can - and still get the ubercrisp packaging, without losing any information on the drink or it's ingredients.  Still, it could be bigger and bolder, or more healthy or nutrition oriented, seeing as there is such good stuff inside.

They did a fantastic thing with this website.  Without going over the top, the user can quicly decide if they are interested in the can or the artist, and check out either the list of ingredients in the can, and thier nutrative properties, or check out the artists Lil Jon works with.  The distressed background and the grunge type fit the artists style and look, while not turning off the average energy drink consumer that might not know or care about the music that was born down South in the A town and went on to move the entire nation.  Even their shopping cart was well designed and thought out.  If you cant find Crunk in your local grocery store, you really wont go wrong buying some online and stocking up.
