Up for grabs is one of the more rare energy drinks you can find, not ever brought here in the US, but sold mostly in Sweden, Germany and other countries in Europe. The drink was even supposed to have been sold at Michael's HIStory World Tour. Now, I have never seen this can in all my energy drink travels, but have heard tell of it and seen pictures floating around the internet. The drink even lists a fan site for it, but it has not been active since 1999 - and even then was pretty sparse on the info. However one lucky swede has been saving this one can of his for the past 11 years, just to part with it unopened on EBAY.
You can find the hopeful seller of this unopened wonder here, with no bids but a couple days of hopeful prospects and a few watchers.
According to Udo Schaar, head of PR at Mystery Management (a tour sponsor of the HIStory tour), the King of Pop not only agreed to help sell the drink but also had a hand in its recipe. ''At Michael's request, we didn't put anything artificial in it." It does contain 1.7 percent juice, along with Water, Carbon-dioxide, Saccharose, Citric Acid, Peach Juice Concentrate, Calcium Lactate, Fruit Tea Extract, Magnesium Carbonate, Guarana Extract, Caffeine and Flavouring. There was a vitamin mix in here too, with Vitamin C, Niacin, Pantothenic Acid,Vitamin B6, Thiamin (VIT B1), Bio-tin, Vitamin B12, Calcium and Magnesium. A German site found an elusive can and broke down the nutritional data - as long as none of it has eroded in the last 11 or so years at http://www.energy.pulse.de/dosen/mystery.html.
Good luck to Beosal and his asking price of 50,000. If you live in Los Angeles, you might be able to get it for a steal off craigslist here for only 800. If you are a collector, you can also find an empty of it on EBAY too, for a much more reasonable 10 bucks.
