After 12 years of being banned for Taurine, Red Bull has finally been allowed in France. There was no proof that taurine was harmful - and citing a rule that European countries can not bad something unless it is proven to be harmful, the country had no choice but to allow the original formula of red Bull to fly off the shelves.
France had allowed Red Bull to be sold without affecting caffeine content, only substituting arganine for taurine. The French health authority could not find any proof that Red Bull was unhealthy, but had remained skeptical. "The agency considered that the safety of use was not guaranteed. In addition, the nutritional value could not be demonstrated."
