When Ben Haring was traveling through Southeast Asia from 2006-2007 he encountered many backpackers who had just finished their stint teaching English in Korea. The idea intrigued him and he began investigating the idea further.

Teaching English in Korea is a great option for those who are looking to work abroad, gain teaching experience, and save some money. Ben was able to save $20,000.00 in the year he was there. During this time he lived in a nice apartment in the Korean capital, Seoul, and he only worked about five hours a day. He said that most Koreans want to learn English for business purposes, and it is not very difficult to be an effective teacher there. Especially in these difficult economic times, teaching English in Korea is not a bad option.
