Nova Scotia's premier golf destination, the Fox Harb'r Golf Resort & Spa is the province's only five-star property attracting such distinguished golfers as Tiger Woods and Bill Clinton.

Sitting on the Northumberland shoreline of Nova Scotia, the resort offers guests, members and residents award-winning golf, a sporting lodge featuring skeet shooting, a luxury spa and wellness centre, a private 4885 ft. airstrip and a marina with secluded beachfront. Four season activities include cross country skiing, tennis, hiking, snowshoeing and cycling.

Accommodations are new residences and town homes overlooking the Atlantic ocean and the back (best) nine of the golf course.

Fox Harb'r is best known for its golf. A mixture of both Scottish links and traditional parkland golf, Fox Harb'r was voted Best New Course in 2001 by Golf Digest. Designed by Graham Cooke, a golfer and a landscape architect, the course demonstrates his respect for the natural environment and ecosystems.

The outward front nine turns away from the sea to sheltered forests, patches of wetlands and deep rocky lakes. Each hole of this nine is heavily sculptured with generous undulating fairways and challenging greens and is substantially different from the dramatic back nine.

For the most part, the favored back nine, the Scottish flavor of the course, follows the sea coast of the Northumberland Strait. Deep, soft sand bunkers and fields of fescue await errant shots from the mostly elevated tee boxes.

Fall is one of the best times to visit as temperatures are cooler and chances of rainfall are generally lower. September and October golf package specials start at $375.00 per person per night - a significant savings over the high season rate of 900 plus per night.

Packages include a newly renovated executive suite with a la carte breakfast, one round of golf or a spa or shooting credit of $150.00 and complimentary internet services.

For only $150.00, guests can book a 9-hole playing lesson on the regular course or $75.00 for a lesson on the par 3 course.
