We keep asking, "What is wrong with our society?" ; "Where are our values?"
I live in a small town, compared to any other place I've lived previously. Tonight my husband heard a bunch of "little kid" sounds outside at 8:30 at night. He looked out to see what the ruckus was about. Half a dozen kids were tearing thru our neighbor's flowers. Two or three ran off when he came out. They were about six years old. The others continued digging through the flower-bed.
When my husband shagged them out they appeared to be THREE year olds! We have no idea where they live.
We've raised five kids; we know what they look like at different ages. At that age, NONE of ours were out at 8:30 at night without us! They were in the tub or in bed! The parents of these kids have NO idea what their children are doing, even at this young age. These are the parents who will ask, "What did I do wrong?" They are the ones who'll contend their child couldn't possibly do any awful thing.
THIS is the future of our country!
Our country has lost its sense of responsibility. It has lost its manners. And YES, IT has left God. Our morality is in the tank. Do you wonder why we are in such a state of social and economic destruction?
Look around you!
These parents who don't watch their kids are the same one who'll be first in line to take away your rights. They are the ones who vote for the smooth talker from Chicago. They believe "it takes a village to raise a child." I've seen those children raised by villages-- most are worthless.
It takes a FAMILY to raise a child. A family with two parents working together for the common good of their children.
How can we get the message across?
