The Second Amendment and Guns, Today
When we consider the Supreme Court’s Second Amendment decision, its effect today, and its re-enforcement of our Right to Keep and Bear Arms as an individual right to own guns for our own protection, we value the many changes in municipal laws about guns.
Skokie, and Morton Grove, IL both dropped their laws against firearms ownership. Chicago soldiers on, in defiance of the Supreme Court of the United Sates ruling. Chicago will eventually lose.
The People of the state of Illinois are pushing for their gun rights. They are marching on Springfield. They are marching to restore faith in their Second Amendment Rights. They are united in support of the Second Amendment.
When they win, Wisconsin will be the only state without a Concealed Carry law, in any form.
How long will we keep our heads in the sand?
As I write this, there are bills (AB70, SB44) being proposed by RINOs (Republican In Name Only), Scott Gunderson and Alberta Darling which will effect the permissibility of veterans, senior citizens, impoverished, and others from buying guns because of perceived mental issues or lack of funds. Of course, any bill that limits gun ownership is FINE with Gov. Doyle even if it is Unconstitutional!
In other words, if they don’t rule you mentally ill from a past experience they will make the Federal/State record check so expensive you’ll back off! And Doyle will love it!
Isn’t it past the time we lift our heads out of the sand and defend our Born Right to Keep and Bear Arms—our Natural Right to Defend ourselves?
Isn’t it time we let the Wisconsin legislature really know how we feel?
