Senior safety Matt O'Hanlon has been named the Big 12 Defensive Play of the Week. Not only did O'Hanlon play a major role in keeping Oklahoma out of the end zone on Saturday with his three interceptions but he also lead the team with 12 tackles. The award is a much deserved one for the safety as he's done an amazing job of shaking off his blunder against Virginia Tech on the Hokies final drive of the game. The award is Nebraska's second consecutive with Sophomore defensive tackle Jared Crick winning both conference and national player of the week honors last week for his efforts against Baylor.
