Northwest Pakistan--a car bomb explosion ripped through a busy marketplace on Tuesday, killing at least thirty in the city of Charsadda.

The attack comes as Pakistani government forces continue with an offensive against Taliban fighters in South Waziristan.  In the past three days, Taliban have struck throughout Pakistan three times.  In the past weeks, as many as three hundred Pakistani soldiers and civilians have been killed in Taliban attacks, seen by most as attempts to weaken the resolve of the Pakistani government in their against the Taliban in South Waziristan.
