Addy at Marin Humane Society

Dogs of the week are now appearing regularly here at SF Dogs Examiner.com.  I am glad to welcome the Marin Humane Society who have submitted two dogs this week.

Marin Humane Society
Addy
2-year-old
Spayed Female, 59lbs
Akita Inu Mix
Addy is a sweetheart. She’s the right dog for someone who is dedicated to training her and has enough patience to stick with the effort. She has attention deficit and needs to learn to control her impulses. Addy entertains herself well, which occasionally results in chewing things. She plays well with adults, although she sometimes gets a little too exuberant. She is truly a love, and she wants a person who will be actively involved in guiding her behavior.
Ideal Home: Best in a home with children 16 years or older

Tulip
1-year-old
Spayed Female, 18lbs
Chihuahua Mix.  This adorable little dog is cute and funny - and quite a handful! She thinks she's the boss and will need experienced owners who will help her know her place. Management, training, rules and structure will bring out the best in this cute girl. Tulip enjoys people and playing, but she doesn't like invasive handling. She would prefer to be the only dog in your home, and she wouldn’t have much fun at dog parks. Tulip will be a gem in the right household!
Ideal Home: Best in home with children 16 years or older

San Francisco SPCA
Sophie (A07181556)
Sophie is a 2-year old pit bull mix.  She is searching for just the right family, and she does have special requirements for adoption.  Sophie has had it rough in the past, so she’s looking for someone who will shower her with love.  She’s a bit slow to warm up to new people – it’s all a bit overwhelming for her – but she is always very happy to see people she knows.  Sophie is looking for a quiet home with a yard outside of the city.

When you adopt ADULT DOGS from The San Francisco SPCA, you’ll get all the awesome goodies that come with pets from The San Francisco SPCA: a free first medical exam from a local veterinarian, temporary identification tags, and a medical assistance plan. All this and an absolutely fabulous dog:  Senior - $80 (7+ years), Adult - $180 (6 months to 7 years), Young - $225 (under 6 months).  San Francisco residents pay an additional $14 License Fee.
