Richard Plate has a Ph.D. in interdisciplinary ecology and has spent most of his career studying how people think and learn about the environmental systems that provide us with food, clean air and water, and incredible outdoor experiences. The most interesting aspect of this topic is how communities around the world have begun to organize themselves around addressing current environmental challenges in fun and creative ways.
