AirTran Airways expands beverage options to enhance inflight experience

AirTran Airways, based here in Orlando, continues to upgrade their inflight experience and has added a new premium espresso coffee choice to its beverage line-up on all of its domestic and International flights.  The illy issimo Latte Machiato will be available on board all AirTran flights starting today. 

illy issimo is a premium coffee product of the joint venture between The Coca-Cola Company and illyCaffe Spa of Trieste, Italy.

"Whether they're looking for an extra boost of energy, or the refreshing taste of espresso, our customers will get the high-quality coffee their taste buds crave," said Tad Hutcheson, vice president of marketing and sales for AirTran Airways in the company's press release. "We are proud to partner with The Coca-Cola Company to bring illy issimo to our inflight menu."

The new beverage will be available for AirTran coach class customers for $4 during the beverage service and is complimentary along with all beverage selections for those customer flying in Business Class.

AirTran Airways also offers Royal Cup Coffee, Fortnum & Mason tea and Swiss Miss hot chocolate complimentary on every flight. The carrier also boards 21 products from The Coca-Cola Company on its flights, including Coca-Cola®, Diet Coke®, Sprite®, Sprite Zero(TM), Coke Zero(TM), Dasani® Water, vitaminwater®, glaceau smartwater®, Cherry Coke(TM), FUZE® Slenderize Tropical Punch and Peach Mango as well as three varieties of Minute Maid® juices. Other alcoholic beverages are also offered.
