Not only is Manistee's Magoon Creek one of the most beautiful and scenic places in Northern Michigan to hold a wedding, it is also free. That's right, FREE!
About Weddings at Magoon Creek
Magoon Creek is a public park with beach access, open daily from dawn until dusk. While the park is free to use for weddings, it is asked that the road not be blocked in order to allow for others to access the park and beach. There are three small parking lots within the park, and ample parking at the road, which is a short walk from the park area.
There are about 4 or 5 locations in the park that are perfect to set up for a ceremony. Since it is a nature area, destruction or removal of trees, branches or bushes is prohibited. There are beautiful views of Lake Michigan from the top of the bluffs and beautiful backdrops of lush green forest. There is also a cleared, sunny area with lots of ferns and surrounded by trees.
There are primitive toilets onsite, as well as a covered pavilion and picnic tables.
