Billy says, "become a support parent"
The Commission for Children with Special Health Care Needs has received a grant from HRSA to create Family to Family Health Information Centers throughout the Commission offices. Parents who have experienced the challenges of raising a special needs child can become a "Support Parent" acting as a mentor to those facing similar challenges. This program is a timely development in raising awareness of the struggle more and more parents are facing. Info is available @:
