"Pronoia is the suspicion that the whole world  is conspiring to shower you with blessings."   --Rob Brezsny

A great spiritual game (which I've played so long it's not a game anymore) is called:

Every Minute You're Being Helped

Here's how you play.  Move through the day seeing the universe as a living, pulsing, breathing, loving force longing to communicate with and assist you.  Feel that you and this universe are one.  Hold in your heart the idea,

"Today this force of love will show me the way.  I'll be open to all messages,  signs and omens, both external and internal.  I'll move as if there's tremendous assistance waiting to aid me in every area of my life."

I often feel I get Divine help with silly stuff so I have faith with the big issues too.

Once I had only a couple hours to find a dress for an important event.   And I had just come back from alot of traveling so I was on an insanely small budget.

So I affirmed that the perfect dress was picked and I was being guided to it easily and effortlessly. (This formula works for everything from clothing to brain surgeons to homes).   Then I watched my body's initial impulses. I  felt oddly drawn to go that clothing emporium from the seventh-most-special-rung-of-hell, Ross Dress for Less.  But hey, if you really want to learn how to shop with God, go there.  Once you've mastered Ross, you can do it anywhere.

When I walked in, the check-out line snaked forever. Clothes covered the floor like crumpled leaves.  Babies were bawling.  Someone was screaming at a cashier.  Celine Dion was blasting.  But I persevered, clinging to my affirmation like a liferaft.

Ten minutes later I saw on a counter a wadded-up abandoned dress.  Sleeveless, raw purple silk, short, more than little sexy, my exact size.  A DKNY marked down in true Ross fashion from $175 to $29.99.

Sold!

As I walked to the endless line, three more registers suddenly opened.  As I stood for my brief wait, a sweet woman behind me said, "Wow, cool dress.  Want these? They're the exact color" and shoved a pair of earrings in my hand.

I was in and out in 15 minutes.

Moving through the world open to help gets easier and easier with practice.  Yes, some days it's more subtle, some more dramatic.  But why not try it just for fun?  Even for a full 21 days to let your brain waves reset?   If you're not happy with the results you can always have your  cold, cold dog-eat-dog galaxy back, no questions asked.

But my theory is most people are pretending there's no Divine assistance  and acting from that assumption.

So why not pretend that there is?
