Thanksgiving is coming up quick and you may be able to save yourself time and money by using public transportation to get where you are going on Thanksgiving Day. Most public transit agencies have modified service on holidays. Here are some resources to help you plan your traveling schedule on Thanksgiving Day.

Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) runs a Sunday schedule on Thanksgiving Day. For information on this service, check out the bart.gov/guide/holidays Web page. Plan your BART trip by going to bart.gov/schedules.

Golden Gate Transit and Golden Gate Ferry have announced their Thanksgiving schedules online. Simply go to the Web site of goldengate.org/news for information on the special Thanksgiving schedules for the Golden Gate bus and ferry services.

If you take Caltrain, make sure to check out their Web page for the latest information on Caltrain schedules. You can visit their schedule page at caltrain.com/timetable.

The South Bay has many different public transit agencies. Visit vta.org/services/holidays for holiday schedule information on interagency transit services, and go to vta.org to plan a trip.

Remember to be thankful for the environment and public transportation on Thanksgiving Day. Try to use public transportation as much as possible to ease the amount of traffic on the roads.
