The 2009-2010 college basketball season is about to begin. For those of you in the San Francisco Bay Area, now is the time to start planning your trips to watch great college basketball throughout Northern California.

There are many venues throughout the Bay Area for college basketball games. For a great exhibition game, you should choose to catch the University of the Pacific Tigers men's basketball team host the CSU East Bay Pioneers in Stockton on Saturday, November 7.

The Pacific Tigers have a very difficult men's basketball schedule lined up for the 2009-2010 season, with contests scheduled against California, Nevada, Pepperdine, Santa Clara and Saint Mary's, plus a road game against Oklahoma State.

The Tigers will need to get their offense and defense in order quickly if they hope to do well over the long college basketball season. The full 2009-2010 Pacific Tigers is available online at this link. You can also view the Pacific Tigers main Web site at this page.

The California State University (CSU) East Bay men's basketball team is also hungry for a good college basketball season. The Pioneers had a great 19-8 record in 2008-2009 and you can bet they will be a tough challenge for Pacific. The CSU East Bay men's basketball 2009-2010 schedule is available at this link. Check out the CSU East Bay athletics Web site.

This college basketball exhibition game is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on the first Saturday in November. It will be held at the Spanos Center on the campus of the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California. The University of the Pacific is located at 3601 Pacific Avenue, Stockton, Calif., 95211.

If you are traveling by car from the Bay Area, simply make your way to Interstate-5 and then go north toward Stockton, and look for the exit for Pershing Avenue. Go straight or north up Pershing Avenue and look for the University of Pacific and Spanos Center which will be on Larry Heller Drive. For directions, visit this page or go to pacific.edu.
