Bosnia has a perfect weekend

Monday November 9th, 2009 - The fourth week of the QCSL World Cup is in the books and Greece still remains undefeated at the top of the table while Sweden, Algeria and San Marino still have to wait for their first win of the season.

Greece 3 - Morocco 1
Greece faced a tough test this passed weekend against newly signed Darko Kolic and Morocco. Greece was outshot 21-14 but Greek net minder Jason Stock made an impressive 20 saves to help Greece keep their perfect record alive. Ilias Calaitzidis once again contributed in a huge way by scoring two goals and assisting on the other. Greece goes into their bye week at the top of the table. Their next game is November 28th versus France.

Bosnia 9 - Haiti 4
Bosnia 5 - Trinidad & Tobago 4

Bosnia capped off a great weekend by taking six points out of six in back to back games. Bachir Houvsepian had an outstanding weekend scoring a hat trick in both games for Bosnia. He finished off the weekend with a total of six goals and two assists. Bosnia now sits in eighth place with two wins out of three matches.

Canada 5 - Sweden 2
Current champions Canada kept pace with Greece by winning their fourth game in four matches. Karl Stephen scored two goals for Canada while Sita-Taty Matondo earned man of the match honors. Canada who currently sits in second place one point behind the leaders can leap frog idle Greece into first place when they face Morocco next week.

France 5 - Portugal 4
France also remained undefeated after three games by defeating Portugal in a shootout. France sniper Durnick Jean had two goals and one assist and currently sits on top of league scoring with 12 points in only three games. Portugal could not convert on either of their two penalty shots while France hit the back of the net twice behind Portugal goalkeeper Luigi Barbieri. France play back to back games next week versus bottom of the table Trinidad & Tobago and Sweden. A perfect weekend will also allow them to sneak ahead of Greece in the standings.
