Monday November 2nd, 2009 - At total of nine games were played this passed weekend in the QCSL World Cup, which wrapped up week three of the season. Several teams were looking for their first wins while others looked to remain undefeated.

Italy 5 - Haiti 4
Italy and Haiti squared off on Sunday night. Italy was looking for their first win of the season after losing the first two games by one goal. Andrew Olivieri was solid in goal while Massimo Di Ioia registered four points (one goal & three assists) en route to a 5-4 victory over a tired Haiti who played their second game in as many nights. Ricky Teoli scored 2 important goals for Italy while Berlin Jean-Gilles' hat trick was not enough for Haiti. Italy faces Chile next weekend as they look to win their second game of the season.

Greece 6 - Bosnia & Herz. 1
Greece looked to keep their perfect record alive when they faced Bosnia & Herz. on Sunday night. Greece was coming off two important wins versus Trinidad and Italy in week 2 whereas Bosnia was playing their first game of the season. Bosnia proved to be no match for Greece and Ilias Calaitzidis who recorded five points (two goals & three assists) in a 6-1 rout. Bosnia only managed to put one goal behind Greece Goalkeeper Jason Stock who made 13 saves.

Canada 6 - Algeria 3
Defending champions Canada went into this weekend's game against Algeria with one regulation win and one overtime win. Rani Jaber was on fire for Canada as he scored three goals against the Algerian Goalkeeper. Jean-Philippe Etienne, Sita-Taty Matondo and Karl Stephen also scored for Canada as they easily defeated Algeria 6-3 for their third win in as many games.

Morocco 7 - Chile 6
Morocco who was also undefeated coming into week three needed a shootout to beat Chile in the first game of the weekend. Anasse Brouk who currently leads the league with nine points had two goals and one assist for Morocco while Rachid Madkour replied with two goals and two assists for Chile.
