Sacha Baron Cohen's new film "Bruno," is the latest addition to the shape-shifting actor/comedian's controversial cast of characters.

The film features the flamboyant “Bruno”, a gay Austrian fashion reporter with a Nazi streak, in a series of stunts and interviews with unsuspecting members of the public who believe he's a real person.

If you read discussions on line you begin to realize the gay community is a bit polarized in regards to their opinions on Cohen's portrayal of Bruno. But clearly, Bruno is an exaggerated and extreme character, a stereotype. Stereotypes are always funny, and Bruno is no exception.

Remember Borat? Sacha Baron Cohan is never politically correct. He uses comedy to put the negative aspects of American Society on the screen for all to see, and this is bound to ruffle a few feathers. However, in being over the top outrageous, Cohen provides social commentary with a ludicrous twist that makes you cringe as you laugh out loud.

It's always fascinating that an actor's finest performances seem to be taken from their own unique personalities, as revealed in their horoscope. Like Johnny Depp, who has learned to live out the darker aspects of his unique character through the roles he plays, Cohen seems to have found a way to the express his shocking and somewhat vulger nature in the guise of his outrageous and controversial characters.

Cohen was born on October 13, 1971, in Hammersmith, London, England (time unknown).

With the Sun in Libra fused with Uranus, the planet of radical genius, it would be expected that Cohen would be different, unusual, ingenious, controversial and, yes, even ludicrous. Also that he would play a delicate balancing act between being charming and being shocking.

Born to the Pluto in Libra generation, Cohen also has Venus in Scorpio. And if you're looking for someone to expose the dark underbelly of human nature, it's likely there is no better combination.

Cohen's Moon, in Leo, makes him a natural performer who seeks praise, attention and love. But he must balance these needs with his desire to be original and have the freedom to do what he wants to do, while being who he wants to be (Mars in Aquarius). So while we love and praise Sasha Baron Cohen's performances, we are also shocked and often repelled by the outrageous audacity of his alter egos; Borat, Bruno and Ali G.

So how does Cohen get away with it?

Jupiter in Sagittarius is strong in its own sign. This gifts Cohen (and his alter egos) with enormous latitude and freedom to do most anything he pleases, and get way with it. With Neptune, also in Sagittarius and fused with Jupiter, there can be little doubt that Cohen has a big imagination and the brazenness to go after what he wants by using his cleverness, as well as his ability to use words and charm in getting his way...(Mercury in Libra, Saturn in Gemini)

It's difficult to astrologically define Sasha Baron Cohen's complexity in one short article, but I don't want to leave you with the thought that “Barat” or “Bruno”, were only intended to be provocative comedy and nothing more. Cohen appears to be a man with a mission, who is using his ingenious originality to expose social bigotry in all it's ugly forms.

If you haven't seen Sacha Baron Cohen as Sacha Boron Cohen, this video shows his Libra charm and good looks coupled with Uranus's genius and just how clever and charming Cohen can be at getting what he wants.

How dull our lives would be without Uranus! It’s the planetary force in our horoscopes that blasts us out of a rut when we are too apathetic or fearful to make a needed change. Astrologers say about Uranus transits that you should “expect the unexpected,” for you can almost count on unusual and unforeseen events. It is also the planet of individuality, the force that keeps us from being monotonous clones of one another. Uranus is the much-needed urge within the human soul to keep moving forward to new and ever-higher levels of consciousness, rather than to stagnate.  It is the planet of scientific discovery and of inventions. Without that part of our psyches, humanity would have remained in the Stone Age! Read more
