Bill Turque of the Washington Post says today that DCPS Chancellor's idea to declare a state of emergency regarding her schools and turn them all into charters is not being considered and, according to Miss Rhee, was never a serious idea.

During her recent WAMU interview Miss Rhee also had some direct criticism of the Post's promotion of "Plan B" as a policy proposal.

"That was reported, falsely really, based on a FOIA request that was done by a reporter, and what they did was FOIA all of the e-mails that had gone back and forth," Rhee added. "At some point, somebody did say this is a possibility for something that the District could do, but it was never something that was considered strongly and I think that it was totally misrepresented in the press."

For a press person it is not an especially good idea to get on the Chancellor's bad side.
