From the dawn of man, lightning has fascinated us. The sheer power of a lightning bolt can destroy, give life, and power a city block. They light up the night sky and fill us with wonder, possibly dread, and often in today's hectic world, a sense of "oh God, I didn't bring an umbrella."

This slow motion video captures lightning in action. Too quick for the human eye to truly process, it would seem there is more happening in the average lightning strike than we thought.

This video is making the rounds. Just listen for exclamations of "awesome!" and "WHOA!" coming from other offices or cubes and you'll know what they're watching.
