At least on Mariah Carey night on American Idol. Who would have ever believed that "the rocker" would be the one to do the best rendition of a Mariah Carey sugar-pop ballad? Watch for the rivers to turn to blood and pink poodles to fall from the sky later this afternoon. Regardless of your thoughts on Mariah's talent, the Internet is all OVER this video from last night's performance from Mr. Cook. On a sentimental note, his brother, who is very ill with brain cancer, was able to be in the audience to see this amazingly important night for his brother. Watch til the end when Simon essentially tells him he's going to be a star whether he wins or loses.

(Our Celebrity Examiner, Liz Barrett, has all three male contestants' performances up on her blog this morning, but it's really David's that has the Internet buzzing. You should still go read her blog because it is excellent!)
