Idol Ouster A Shock To Michael Johns Fans

Maybe it was the Jennifer Hudson factor: "He's good, so he's safe. I should vote for my second favorite."

Maybe it was the fact that this is AMERICAN idol and we have an Irish person and an Australian person in the top eight and Kristy Lee Cook's "God Bless America" stirred up such a patriotic wave that we simply couldn't bring ourselves to vote for "fur'ners".

Maybe he just wasn't that good? Yeah, I said it. I did. He's no Michael Hutchence or Freddy Mercury and you know it in your heart. It's okay. You can say it. Breathe in deeply . . . exhale . . . it's okay. He's gone.

Still though, the Internet feels it was before his time and much is being said about his "early" departure.
