Jennifer Hudson Song: 'The New Whitney' Buzz

Everyone's talking about Jennifer Hudson's upcoming album.

In case you don't know J-Hud, she was the huge voiced contestant on American Idol a while back who got axed way too early but wound up in the Dreamgirls movie and won an Oscar and a Grammy for her performance. She also took a turn in the recent Sex and The City Movie. Her debut album has been in the works for a while, and her first single seems about ready to pop.

Called "Spotlight", it is making heavy Internet rotation and has the comparisons and speculation flying. So far I've heard her called the new Whitney, the new Aretha, an "abomination to music", and "the worst thing to happen to music since Mariah Carey".
