Steve Wynn has earned a reputation for having the "Midas touch" when it comes to developing and running casinos. It is no surprise that his casino's stock is doing better than his competitors in these tough financial times. There is no limit to Mr. Wynn's imagination...he could give Walt Disney a run for his money.

The 5-Diamond Wynn Las Vegas can easily be a one-stop destination for your next Las Vegas Getaway. Mr. Wynn has jammed everything you might possible want under one roof. Gaming, Spa, Salon & Fitness Center, 11 Gourmet Restaurants, nightclubs and bars, an award-winning golf course (transformed from the Dessert Inn’s PGA celebrated course), an exclusive breathtaking, aerobatics meet "Fantasia-style" musical "LE RÊVE" and Penske-Wynn Ferrari Maserati, Nevada's first and only factory-authorized Ferrari and Maserati dealership.

When you arrive at Wynn Las Vegas, you will find the staff very friendly and accommodating. Upon check in, you will receive a useful, credit card sized fold out map with the entire layout of the resort.

This resort is gigantic with 2063 Resort Rooms, 296 Tower Suites, several superior Suite levels and Villas. Internet discount sites (Orbitz. Com & Priceline.com) offer Wynn Resort Rooms (650 sq feet) starting at $159 per night and Suites from $250 to $650 (“Cosmopolitan” Suite is 1,950 square foot) per night. Rooms have views of the strip or golf course.

If you are into Spa treatments, Wynn offers 45 treatment rooms for messages, treatments, facials and hydrotherapy. Their signature spa treatment, The Good Luck Ritual is based on the five elements of Feng Shui. One of the treatment rooms is designed to help you relax by watching fish tanks full of vibrant, happy tropical fish, while you get a message.

The dining options are out of this world, with more than eleven restaurants on property. If you are looking for epicurean level dining, try the One Michelin Star Daniel Boulud Brasserie, which is run by celebrity Chef Daniel Boulud & his Executive Chef Wes Holton.

Prices are surprisingly consumer friendly. But if you want the best deal, get there before 7pm and enjoy a 3-course, Prix Fixe Menu which includes Daniel’s famous Pâté de Campagne Forestière, The Original NY DB Burger (sirloin & short ribs) and Chocolate Hazelnut Fondant, $48. Another Daniel specialty is the delectable Short Ribs ”En Daube” $44. The wine selection is massive and international, with great bottles starting at $40, all the way to multi-orgasmic wine experiences like a 2001 Harlan Estate, Napa Valley $2,290. If you are a fan of seafood and Italy, Bartolotta Ristorante Di Mare will transform you to Venice where seafood is served ultra-fresh and presented to you almost like a sacred crown of the sea, for inspection before it is cooked to your liking. Bartolotta Ristorante flies everything in daily so if you are feeling like a whole fish or a crustacean, this is the place. Wynn’s resident, award winning mixologist Patricia Richards conjures up original signature cocktails for several of the restaurants and bars. I am happy to share several of her recipes for drinks we tried during our stay.

Tina Sinatra signing Frank Sinatra stamps

Steve Wynn has a lot of prominent, famous friends. So there is no telling who you may bump into during your stay at Wynn Las Vegas. When we visited last May, we came across Tina Sinatra in the lobby who was signing stamps and CD’s commemorating the release of the official Frank Sinatra postage stamp.

There are more than 20 luxury brand boutiques and shops to experience at Wynn Las Vegas. So if you try your hand at Poker or slots and end up with a winning streak you will have no difficulty in using your prize money to reward your self!
