If you are a mom on the go, you know that multi-tasking is just a given. There is no escaping the need to do two or three or ten things at once. Just as it is important to delegate some of your responsibilities to another capable person, it is equally necessary to seek out tools to simplify our busy lives.
If you spend most of the day on your cell phone as I do, you know that sometimes you end up trying to hold your phone, dig your keys out of your purse and juggle your laptop bag all at once. A Bluetooth earpiece is the solution I have found most helpful for this problem. Recently, I started using the BlueAnt Q1 voice controlled headset. While it has many of the same functions that any Bluetooth headset has, I really appreciated the lightweight design. I found myself forgetting that it was in my ear until the phone rang.
Another feature of the BlueAnt bluetooth headset is that it has a noise reduction interface. With my other Bluetooth I had to constantly field the question, "Are you outside?" Being that the headset is voice activated, noise was a concern. The BlueAnt Q1 allows you to switch between standard and maximum noise reduction settings. I haven't experienced any issues with wind noise.
Bottom line is that I like it. I like it a lot. Radio Shack has it for $129, slightly above what I paid for my other Bluetooth and I would say that the BlueAnt is significantly superior.
