Abe Yanko has accumulated extensive backpacking, canoeing, trekking, and wilderness experience throughout much of the United States and Canada. He is an expert on ‘leave-no-trace’ camping and wilderness methods, as well as what he calls the minimalist approach: entering the wilderness with a minimum of equipment, thus leaving a minimal impact while gaining the maximum from the experience. Abe Yanko lives in Colorado Springs, Colorado with his girlfriend Jessica and Labrador Retriever, Sierra.
