Singer Rihanna was interviewed by journalist Diane Sawyer on ABC's "20/20" about her relationship with singer Chris Brown.

Brown assaulted Rihanna last February, in an infamous case which spared national outrage, after a picture of Rihanna with a bloody face surfaced on the internet.

The interview detailed Rihanna's relationship with Brown, apparently a relationship that was one of jealousy and obsession.

Brown was sentenced to five years probation and six months of community service in the case.

. Rihanna says in the interview that she knew she was sending the wrong message to millions of young women who are caught in an abusive relationship by going back to Brown after the beating.

The interview proves one thing- abuse is never okay, no matter how "in love" you are with a person.
