The New York Yankee ticker-tape parade streams live online so fans can watch at the FOX website, MyFoxNY.com.  The FOX network broadcast the 2009 World Series games.

The New York Yankees beat the Philadelphia Phillies in 6 games, ending in Game 6 at the new Yankee Stadium. The 27th Championship win marked a victorious ending for the inaugural season of the new stadium. It has been 9 years since the Yankees took home the trophy.

Team captain Derek Jeter said, "I never lost sight of the fact that it's very difficult to get to the World Series, let alone to win one. You realize and remember how hard it is."

Mayor Bloomberg welcomed the Yankees to City Hall for part of the city's celebration of the baseball team's win.
