
The CMA, Country Music Awards, nominees for 2009 are listed below. This year's awards ceremony will be hosted by singers Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley. Four-time nominee Taylor Swift will sing the opening song of the night.
This is the 43rd year the Country Music Association has staged an award ceremony honoring those who made significant contributions to the genre of country music in the previous year.
Performers include: Jason Aldean, Brooks & Dunn, Kenny Chesney and Dave Mathews, Billy Currington, Vince Gill and Daughtry, Kid Rock and Jamey Johnson, Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Martina McBride, Reba McEntire, Tim McGraw, Brad Paisley, Darius Rucker, George Strait, Sugarland, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban, and Zac Brown Band.
Presenters of the awards during the telecast include: Dale Earnhardt Jr., Neil Flynn, Patricia Heaton, Julianne Hough, Randy Houser, The Judds, Kid Rock, Kris Kristofferson, Jake Owen, Kellie Pickler, LeAnn Rimes, Robin Roberts, and Lee Ann Womack.
Billed as "Country Music's Biggest Night" by the CMA, this year's celebration will broadcast live from the Sommet Center in Nashville, Tennessee.
