Rumours have been swirling for over a year about the status of the live action Star Wars television show. It seemed as though George Lucas had been working with some writers on the stories... I'd reported a while ago about the beginning of the casting process of the show...
But now, it looks like Lucasfilm may have let the cat out of the bag of at least one of the writers on the show.
It seems as though according to Sci-fi Now, Australian TV writer and producer John Edwards may have been tapped to write episodes of the show and possible work in production.
Obviously, I've never seen any of the work Edwards has produced, so I can't comment on that aspect of this development. What I can comment on though, is the fact that the project is, indeed, moving forward.
An even brighter bit of news in the Sc-Fi Now article is an added confirmation from perennial Star Wars producer Rick McCallum that Boba Fett plays "an instrumental part of the series."
That's good news for everyone when you're talking about a show set during the dark times between Episode III and Episode IV.
