The Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (MSPCA) will be joining the Humane Society of the United States, along with other animal welfare organizations and pet lovers on Beacon Hill for the annual Lobby Day for Animals.
The 2009 Lobby Day for Animals will take place on April 14, 2009.
"The event presents an exciting opportunity to connect with other animal advocates and meet with your state Senator and Representative to let them know what animal-related legislation is important to you," the MSPCA explains.
Animal advocates who make their way to the Massachusetts State House will also have the opportunity to learn more about the animal and pet-related legislation that's scheduled to be debated and voted upon over the next 12 months.
Registration for the event through the MSPCA is full, but animal lovers can still join the waiting list to join the MSPCA for the 2009 Lobby Day for Animals.
Animal lovers can also make their way to the Massachusetts State House independently on April 14, 2009, to show support for animals and pets in Boston and beyond.
Animal lovers may also enjoy reading about upcoming events and fundraisers at the MSPCA, like the Annual Furry Affair Auction or the Pet Foster Care Open House.
