A shih tzu named Rusty is recovering following an attack by a coyote in Weymouth.

Rusty was on his leash, tied up outside his Weymouth home enjoying the spring weather when he was snatched by a coyote. Rusty's horrified owner emerged from the home to encounter a terrifying sight: the toy breed dog was clasped in the jaws of a coyote.

Fortunately, Rusty's owner was able to scare the coyote off and the shih tzu survived the attack. But another pet in the same Weymouth neighborhood was not so lucky. BostonChannel.com is reporting that i's believed another Weymouth resident's cat was killed by a coyote in recent days.
